Hearing screening in Equatorial Guinea

Back to Projects

We traveled to Equatorial Guinea to support the development of the +Q Words project, in collaboration with the NGO Más que Salud. Our goal was to provide sustainable hearing solutions in a country where more than 70% of the population lives in poverty.
In each mission, audiologists and Foundation volunteers perform hearing screenings, fit hearing aids, and create personalized earmolds for those in need. But we don’t stop there: we also provide technical training to local professionals to ensure the project lasts beyond a single intervention.
We believe in cooperation based on local empowerment, which is why we design each initiative with continuity in mind. In Equatorial Guinea, we have planted a network of hearing support that we hope to continue strengthening in the years to come.
